OREANDA-NEWS.   Vladimir Putin has arrived in Cuba on an official visit at the invitation of President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Raul Castro.

Bilateral talks will take place during the visit, with particular focus on developing trade, economic and investment ties and carrying out joint projects in energy, transport, healthcare, civil aviation and peaceful use of outer space. Current international issues will also be discussed. The talks are expected to conclude with the signing of bilateral agreements in a range of areas.

Mr Putin will also meet with leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro.
