OREANDA-NEWS. The State Duma of Russia adopted in the first reading a presidential bill, according to which employees who are in the public service will no longer be able to have a residence permit in other countries. Also, military, municipal and state employees are prohibited from being citizens of foreign countries.
Changes will be made to about 20 federal bills. They provide for a ban on the replacement of state and municipal positions not only in the presence of foreign citizenship, but also a residence permit, as well as other documents, that confirm the right of a person to permanently live in another country. Employees of public services will be required to notify the employer that they have a residence permit in another state. In addition, they will be required to report the termination of Russian citizenship, as well as officially documented plans to move abroad for permanent residence.
