OREANDA-NEWS. The representative of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Konstantinidi accused the Russian Federation of involvement in organizing and conducting cyber attacks on the websites of the presidential administration and the resources of the Georgian media in 2019.

“In October 2019, a large-scale cyber attack was carried out in Georgia on the websites of the presidential administration, the judicial system, various municipalities, state, commercial and media organizations. As a result of the cyber attack, the servers of these organizations and control systems were damaged… As a result of the investigation of the Georgian side together with international partners it was revealed that this cyber attack was organized and carried out by the General Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces,” Konstantinidi said. However, the diplomat did not adduce any evidence of Russian involvement.
