OREANDA-NEWS. The Moscow police reported of the arrest of 132 participants in an unauthorized protest action against the amendment of the Constitution of Russia which was held in the center of the capital on July 15.

“Police officers, together with National Guard officers, prevented the violation of public order in the center of Moscow. 132 people were brought to the territorial police departments for investigation,” the headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told reporters of Interfax agency. It was added that with regard to the detainees, the issue of bringing to justice under the article on participation in an unauthorized meeting is being decided.

On Wednesday, an unauthorized protest action also took place in Saint Petersburg. People formed a queue over 600 meters long to sign against the constitutional amendments. There were no detentions.
