OREANDA-NEWS. The National Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine opened a case because of wiretapping of conversations between ex-President of the country Petro Poroshenko and former US Vice President Joe Biden.

Ukrayinskaya Pravda published an extract from the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, according to which the illegal use of technical means to obtain information could harm national interests.

Earlier, non-factional parliamentary Andriy Derkach released records of telephone conversations, allegedly by Poroshenko and Biden, which testify to international corruption and high treason of the former Ukrainian leader. One of the conversations concerned the dismissal of Viktor Shokin from the post of Prosecutor General at the request of Biden. In exchange for this, according to the audio recordings, he promised Poroshenko to provide Ukraine with 1 billion US dollars. The politicians also discussed the presence of a coalition in the Ukrainian parliament, the resignation of the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the approval of the cabinet of Volodymyr Groysman.
