Kalesnikava Complained to the Investigative Committee of Belarus about Threats
OREANDA-NEWS. Maria Kolesnikova, a member of the Coordinating Council created by the opposition of Belarus, filed an application with the Investigative Committee with a request to initiate a criminal case against employees of the State Security Committee and the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This was reported on the website of the former presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka. “These persons expressed threats to take my life, which I perceived really. In particular, it was stated that if I do not voluntarily leave the territory of the Republic of Belarus, I would still be taken out – alive or in parts. Threats were also voiced to deprive me of freedom for up to 25 years, to arrange problems for me in places of detention, in places of deprivation of liberty, these threats I also perceived as real,” Kalesnikava’s statement reads.
