OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian authorities will not allow a split in society, protecting the interests of the majority of citizens who voted for the unity and stability. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on November 3, accepting the credentials of the ambassadors of foreign countries.

“As the head of state, I responsibly declare that we are able to effectively resist external challenges and threats, ensure internal political stability, prevent civil division and arbitrariness of certain radical elements. We resolutely defend the interests of the majority of citizens who voted for a united Belarus and stand for an independent and stable state,” the information agency BelTA agency quotes Lukashenko.

The politician noted that he has no doubts that the Belarusians have the desire, will and necessary tools to restore stability in society on the basis of a balance of interests, maintaining a calm and safe life. “We are ready to interact with all our foreign partners, discuss any issues of cooperation, including exchange of views on the situation in Belarus, but it can be made only on condition of taking into account the interests of the parties and non-interference in internal affairs,” Lukashenko explained.
