OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus has developed a unified information system for registering participants in unauthorized protest actions.

This was announced on the air of the state TV channel Belarus 1 by the head of the department for the protection of law and order and prevention of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Alexander Kupchenya. “After the events of August 9, the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to create a unified database for all republic, which would allow us to take into account information about persons who were detained or identified during unauthorized mass events,” Kupchenya said.

It is known that the database contains the information about everyone “who has ever taken or is taking part in riots or aimless wanderings in the capital”: protesters, as well as some chat users and administrators of some Telegram channels. The registration card contains information on gender, age, region, work or study place, and hobbies of this or that protester. As for response measures to oppositionists, creators of the database promise to use “an individual approach to everyone”.
