OREANDA-NEWS. Russia has supplemented the blacklist of persons who are prohibited from entering the country with representatives of the leadership of the power and intelligence structures of Germany. This is said in a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on December 29.

It was indicated that this step was taken in response to European Union’s sanctions imposed in connection with the alleged Russian trace in the hacking of computer systems of the German Bundestag in 2015. “In response to the aforementioned destructive actions on the part of the EU, Moscow has decided to expand the list of German citizens who are prohibited from entering the Russian Federation,” the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.

As the agency added, if the German authorities continue the confrontational line, the Russian side reserves the right to apply further response measures.
