OREANDA-NEWS. The Contact Group on Ukraine has agreed on additional measures for a ceasefire in Donbass, they will come into force on July 27.

This was reported by Boris Gryzlov, Russia’s representative at the talks. “After almost five months of resistance, the Ukrainian side found the courage to agree on the ceasefire measures that have been repeatedly proposed by Donetsk and Lugansk,” the politician said.

Rodion Miroshnik, a representative of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, told reporters that additional measures to control the truce, agreed by the participants during negotiations in Minsk, include the publication of ceasefire orders by the parties, as well as sanctions against violators. He also noted that these measures provide for a ban on offensive, reconnaissance and sabotage activities, the use of aircrafts, a ban on the fire, including sniper fire, a ban on the deployment of heavy artillery and military equipment in settlements and near infrastructure facilities.
