Tulsi Gabbard, a candidate for the post of President of the United States, a member of the House of Representatives, sued Hillary Clinton, accusing the former secretary of state and the ex-presidential candidate of defamation – the dissemination of defamatory information through the media.

According to the congresswoman, Clinton deliberately “made false statements,” trying to disrupt her campaign. As it is stated on Gabbard’s website, Clinton said that “somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary… [is a] is a favorite of Russians… Yeah, she’s a Russian asset.” Despite Clinton did not name Gabbard directly, according to some media, it was clear whom she had meant.

NBC News reports that the sum of the lawsuit against Clinton is 50 million dollars.
