OREANDA-NEWS. The political party “Opposition Platform – For Life” demands the immediate resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk because he visited an event that featured the Ukrainian ultra-right rock group “Sokira Peruna”.

Earlier, the Ukrainian website Strana.ua reported that the concert was organized by Andrei Medvedko, accused of the murder of journalist Oles Buzina. According to the publication, in the spring of 2018, the Ukrainian police started a criminal proceeding because of the use of swastikas and other Nazi symbols and fascist slogans at “Sokira Perun” concerts, as well as quoting Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

“For disrespect for the Ukrainian people who defeated fascism in the Great Patriotic War, sabotage of the peace process in Donbass, demonstration of support for the fascist national-radical organizations, “Opposition Platform – For Life” demands the immediate resignation of the prime minister with fascist views,” the statement on the party’s website says.

According to the party, the views and actions of Honcharuk are “a signal of guarantees of immunity for criminals and radical Nazis and at the same time a signal for all international partners of Ukraine, including the IMF, the USA, the EU and the Soros Foundation, about the true content of the current Ukrainian… government”.

The famous Ukrainian journalist Buzin was shot dead in April 2015 in Kiev. Investigators examined several versions of the murder, in particular related to the professional activities of a journalist. Charges were brought against Andrei Medvedko and Denis Polishchuk.

Renat Kuzmin, the lawyer of Buzina’s mother, believes that the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine are involved in the death of the journalist. Fiona Frazer, the head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, said that the UN considers the investigation of the murder to be improper.
