OREANDA-NEWS. More than 59 million US citizens voted early in the November elections. The calculations were published on Sunday on the portal United States Elections Project, created by professor Michael MacDonald from the Florida State University.

Texas remains to be the leading state in terms of the number of early voters, 7,193,582 Americans have already voted there. Texas is followed by the states of California (6,500,191), Florida (5,722,406) and North Carolina (3,100,374). The number of those who made their choice ahead of schedule exceeds a million in the states of Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New Jersey, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Minnesota, and Massachusetts.

On November 3, Americans will elect a president and vice president, 35 senators, all 435 members of the House of Representatives, 13 governors, as well as local governments. Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden are running for the presidency.
