OREANDA-NEWS. Europe must develop a new economic policy by creating a new “Marshall plan” to save jobs amid the coronavirus epidemic. This was announced at a press conference by the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.

According to the politician, Polish authorities are worried by signals that some countries of Western Europe may roll back ten years ago in their economic development. The Prime Minister noted that he discussed with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen the flexibility of tools designed to save jobs. “We agreed that all our actions are needed today, but this is only the first step. We are waiting a long way to develop a suitable economic policy that will allow us to save jobs and restore them in a new form in six months, a year or two years,” he said. “Europe now does not have a task more important than creating a second plan of Marshall of the XXI century,” Morawiecki resumed.
