OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a new extension of non-working days introduced earlier in order to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. Without waiting for the expiration of the previously set date (until April 30), the head of state said that all days until May 11 would be non-working, taking into account the usual holidays.

Putin explained the need to prolong the tough measures to combat COVID-19 by the fact that the epidemic in Russia has not yet reached its peak. “Now we are in front of a new, perhaps the most intense stage of the fight against the epidemic. All of us will need utmost composure, discipline and mobilization. We must ensure that the wave of the epidemic subsides, that it begins to recede at last,” the politician noted.
