OREANDA-NEWS Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed orders to submit to the state Duma a package of bills aimed at improving state policy in the field of anti-corruption, the relevant documents are published on the website of the Cabinet.

"The purpose of the draft laws – the formation of uniform approaches to the establishment of various organizations of anti — corruption prohibitions and duties imposed on certain categories of employees, as well as to the legal regulation of prohibitions and restrictions related to the receipt of employees' remuneration and gifts, " - said in a statement.

In particular, it is proposed to determine the criteria by which legal entities can be classified as organizations created to perform the tasks assigned to the authorities. In addition, it is proposed to extend a number of prohibitions, restrictions and requirements in order to combat corruption, which are currently established for employees of public authorities and local self-government, to employees holding positions in such organizations.

The orders provide for the improvement of anti-corruption standards for employees holding positions in state corporations, state extra-budgetary funds and public law companies. In addition, it is proposed to introduce anti-corruption standards for employees of companies established or controlled by state-owned companies and public law companies.

The draft laws also provide for changes in the legal regulation of the procedure for receiving gifts by employees. "Currently, the legislation allows giving gifts to civil servants and officials in connection with Protocol events, business trips and other official events. If the cost of such gifts does not exceed three thousand rubles, these gifts are returned to the employee", — explained in the message.

It is planned to allow giving gifts in connection with official and Protocol events. Employees will also be allowed to accept gifts in the form of flowers, printing products with the logo of the state body, local government or organization. It is also offered to carry valuable gifts which are handed over as a reward to the list of admissible.
