OREANDA-NEWS. Russia should provide humanitarian aid to the residents of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and nearby territories located in the combat zone. This initiative was put forward by the deputies from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who sent an inquiry to the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin. The document was signed by Valery Rashkin, Denis Parfyonov and Olga Alimova.

“We urge you to consider the issue of rendering humanitarian aid by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the civilian population affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” parliamentarians wrote. They pointed out that the Duma had previously sent humanitarian aid to schoolchildren in the Syrian governorate of Aleppo. In this regard, they called the delivery of essential goods to the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh “even more relevant and timely” decision.
