OREANDA-NEWS. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation expressed protest to the Charge d’Affaires of the Netherlands in Moscow, Dominique Kuhling-Bakker, becaude of the tracking equipment found in the car of the Russian military attache in The Hague.

This is stated in a message published on August 17 on the website of the Russian diplomatic mission. “The Dutch diplomat was told that it is necessary to immediately take comprehensive measures to prevent such incidents, which run counter to the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,” the statement says. It is also noted that such actions complicate the “already difficult” relations between Russia and the Netherlands.

The report of the Russian Foreign Ministry does not specify for whose benefit the surveillance was conducted and for how long period it was carried out.
