OREANDA-NEWS. The Kremlin administration examined an open letter against amendments to the Constitution, signed by Russian scientists and writers, and authorities respect all points of view. This was reported by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“Of course, we saw this letter. …We receive different letters too. There are other letters, a huge number of letters of support,” he said. According to Peskov, “the question is in the proportion of those who support and do not support” changes to the Constitution. “We will learn it at the vote,” the presidential spokesman concluded.

A letter to the judges of the Constitutional Court, who are studying the amendments now, was signed by more than 350 scientists, lawyers and writers. In particular, they oppose the proposal to nullify the presidential terms of Vladimir Putin. Signers indicate that Russia is “threatened by a deep constitutional crisis, and such a development of situation undermines the country’s evolution.”
