OREANDA-NEWSActing US Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolfe (pictured) said that the presidential administration could no longer name candidates from Russia who were involved in interfering in the 2016 presidential election.

It is noted that Washington continues to do everything possible to bring Russia to justice. The interim head of the department stressed that Moscow continued its attempts to influence after the end of the elections. At the same time, Wolfe thinks that the list of those responsible for manipulating the electoral process is most likely exhausted.

Earlier, US Attorney General William Barr said that his country should now recognize attempts to manipulate from the outside in the 2020 presidential election. The prosecutor called in advance to proceed from the fact that Russia is interested in interfering in the elections.

The text of the report by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller on Russia's interference in the 2016 US presidential election was published in April 2019. Its authors came to the conclusion that Moscow influenced their conduct, although it denies this, however, the collusion of American President Donald Trump with Russia has not been confirmed.
