OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine can join the sanctions of the European Union against Belarus. This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmytro Kuleba.

“We have not seen the EU sanctions yet, but we support its approaches. We will draw our conclusions when we see these sanctions,” the politician said. According to the Minister, Ukraine’s position is synchronized with partners from the European Union and the United States. “We will work in a coordinated manner to stabilize the situation in Belarus,” Kuleba explained. At the same time, he claimed that Kiev “does not plan to interfere in any way in the internal affairs of Belarus.”

Earlier, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel announced imposing sanctions against a number of Belarusians. It was reported that the European Union will study the possibility of introducing restrictive measures against the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
