OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada of the new composition, led by the majority of the pro-presidential party Servant of the People, has approved a resolution calling on foreign parliaments and international organizations to “intensify external pressure on the Russian Federation to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.”

The Rada accuses Moscow of committing acts “against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine,” as well as of non-compliance with the Minsk Agreements to resolve the conflict in the Donbass. Ukrainian deputies request to adhere to the “policy of non-recognition of the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol,” and to use all available mechanisms to release the citizens of Ukraine held in Russia. Parliamentarians also demand to “abandon the expansion of aggressive operations in the Black Sea region” and call for condemning the construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
