OREANDA-NEWS. In the United States, Democrats published the results of the caucus (a discussion of party members about future presidential candidates) in the state of Iowa.

The leader of the list is former officer of Naval Intelligence Pete Buttigieg who received 27 % of the votes of delegates. Bernie Sanders gained 25 % of votes. Senator from Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren became the third with 18 % of the vote. Joe Biden was supported by 16 % of caucus participants.

CNN reports that the Democratic Party leader in Iowa apologized for the delay in publishing the final data, calling it unacceptable, but assuring that the published results are accurate. They indicate the failure of Biden who was considered the main rival of the current Republican president Donald Trump. CNN analyst believes that Biden, the winner of most nationwide polls, is at risk of losing at the upcoming primaries in New Hampshire.
