OREANDA-NEWS. The US government plans to allocate 700 million dollars to “counter” Russia in 2021.

These funds will be used to strengthen security in Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia, as well as to protect the territorial integrity of American allies, “support partner countries’ efforts to transition away from Russian military equipment; and address weaknesses in the macro-economic environment that the government of Russia seeks to exploit, such as dependence on energy and trade.” 24 million dollars are proposed to be allocated to counter Russian propaganda and misinformation.

This offer reflects the position of the presidential administration of Donald Trump, but the proposals do not necessarily come into legal force, since the American Congress accepts the budget of the country independently.
