Xi Jinping Urged G20 to Lift Barriers to the Movement of Goods
OREANDA-NEWS. China’s President Xi Jinping called on the leaders of the Group of Twenty (G20) to abolish tax and trade duties to ensure free circulation of goods.
“G20 members must take joint action, abolish tax duties, remove barriers, ensure free circulation of goods, send a powerful signal to boost the morale of the global economy,” Chinese leader said. According to Xi Jinping, free trade will help the world economy to recover from the effects of the epidemic and the restrictions imposed amid the virus spread.
On March 26, an emergency G20 summit on the COVID-19 pandemic in the format of a videoconference is held.
