Yemeni Minister Blamed Houthis for Attack on Aden Airport
OREANDA-NEWS. Yemeni Information Minister Moammar Al-Eryani said that the attack on Aden International Airport, where 27 people died, was organized by supporters of the rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthis).
Previously it was reported that three mortar shells exploded at the airport in Aden, simultaneously with the arrival of the ministers of the new government of Yemen.
“All members of the government are in order. This is a dastardly terrorist act committed by the Houthi rebels with the support of Iran,” Al-Eryani said.
Prime Minister of Yemen, Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed, called the incident a “treacherous terrorist attack,” assuring that it would not interfere with the members of the country’s government in fulfilling their duty. The Yemeni government has called on the international community to conduct an international investigation into the circumstances of the attack on the Aden Airport.The Houthi politburo denied information about the movement’s involvement in the incident.
