OREANDA-NEWS. Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, speaking at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, said that Moscow still had not complied with the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, according to which the Russian authorities should pay 1.5 thousand Georgian citizens, who were deported from Russia in 2006, compensation in the amount of 10 million euros.

The politician called for the Council of Europe and its members to take an active part in forcing Moscow to immediately enforce the judgment. She noted that the Russian Federation has still not fulfilled its obligation, and double standard in this area is not only unacceptable, but also harms the organization and its principles.
