OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Ministry of Finance has reserved 1.4 trillion roubles (17.74 billion US dollars) to deal with the consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection in the country.

This was announced on April 1 by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a teleconference with participation of President Vladimir Putin and members of the government. “In total, the Ministry of Finance of Russia has reserved 1.4 trillion roubles for the purpose of combating the spread of coronavirus infection and implementing anti-crisis measures,” Mishustin said.

In addition, 171 billion roubles (2.17 billion dollars) were reserved for the restructuring of budget loans. This measure touches upon postponement in the payment of budget loans, as well as support for Russian regions in the event of a decrease in their income amid an epidemic.
