OREANDA-NEWS The direction for young researchers is laid down in the new megagrant program, it is, in particular, related to work on megascience class installations, in March, when applications for participation in the program end, it will be possible to assess which countries are interested in working in the Russian Federation, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, told RIA Novosti.

"Now we are accepting applications, we'll see if it ends at the end of March, we'll see what we get... But in general, of course, there is interest. And in the same program, we have laid a direction for young researchers, in fact, in relation to infrastructure facilities of the megascience class," Sekirinsky said on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival.

He recalled that within the framework of the updated program, its financing will increase to 100 million rubles per year, and the grant period has been increased to five years with the possibility of extension for three years.

"One of the key conditions is the gradual relocation to Russia - in the third year of the projects of leading scientists. The total amount of financing for this project for five years is 500 million rubles, the extension is plus one hundred, that is, a lot of money, 5 million dollars in total," Sekirinsky concluded.
