OREANDA-NEWS. OMZ-Oil and Gas Projects (Izhorskiye Zavody), a part of OMZ (Uralmash-Izhora Group) (RTS: OMZZ; LSE: OMZD; OTC: UHMVY), reports that it has completed a contract with Surgutneftegaz for the supply and assembly of 24 spherical gas holders with 600 cubic meters capacity. The gas holders are designed for the storage of long distillate of light hydrocarbons (LDLH).

According to the press service of OMZ, the contract, worth RUR340 million, was signed in 2005.

OMZ-Oil and Gas Projects (Izhorskiye Zavody) is one of the largest Russian suppliers of equipment for the storage of LDLH. In 2006 OMZ supplied similar equipment to Kazanorgsintez OJSC.

In October 2006 the company concluded a contract for the supply and assembly of nine spherical gas holders with 600 cubic meters capacity to Tolkynneftegaz, Kazakhstan. The equipment will be supplied in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards. The value of the new contract is more than RUR130 million. Delivery is scheduled for 2007.
