OREANDA-NEWS. Production and quality management system of “Izhora Pipe Works” (part of OJSC “Severstal”) are certificated on conformity to the standards of the American Petroleum Institute.

According to the press-service of OJSC “Severstal”, the general director of “Izhora Pipe Works” Oleg Urnev has noted that the enterprise has received the certificates confirming the conformance of its quality management system and make production of five specialized international standards, applied in oil, petrochemical and gas industry.

These are three certificates on conformance of the quality management system “IPW” to the international standards (ISO 9001:2000, API Spec Q1 and ISO/TS 29001:2003), and also licenses for the right of drawing the monogram API for its production: the main pipes (API Spec 5L) and constructional pipes (API Spec 2B).

Oleg Urnev also has noted that key directiona for "IPW" there are projects of Gazprom, first of all, an underwater part of pipeline Nord Stream (the North-European Gas Main).

Joint-Stock Company “Izhora Pipe Works” - the enterprise on manufacture of the large-diameter pipes with annual volume of manufacture 600 thousand tons welded pipes in diameter from 610 up to 1420 mm, with thickness of wall - up to 40 mm and length of pipe - up to 18,3 meters, with a three-layer polymeric covering and opportunity of drawing internal smooth coverings. The enterprise is a part of OJSC “Severstal”. It is located in the city of Kolpino (St.-Petersburg).
