OREANDA-NEWS. Vyksa Metal Works, which is a part of the United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has summed up industrial activity for February 2007.

According to the press-service of OMK, VMW produced 154 thousand 995 tons of pipes, or 44 % more than in February 2006, when production made 107 thousand 493 tons. From the beginning of this year, VMW produced 306 thousand 660 tons of pipes of various assortment.

The plant produced large-diameter pipes at the rate of 87 thousand 893 tons, or 69 % having increased manufacture of the large-diameter pipes in comparison with February 2006, when it totalled 51 thousand 883 tons. Manufacture of the large-diameter pipes for two months of 2007 made 172 thousand 273 tons, having exceeded parameters of analogous period of 2006 at the rate of 95 thousand 506 tons by 80 %.

The wheel-rolling complex of VMW in February 2007 made 63 thousand 736 of railway wheels, including on export - 11 thousand 140 pieces. From the beginning of this year the enterprise produced 125 thousand 200 wheels, including on export - 16 thousand 948 pieces.
