OREANDA-NEWS. In January 2007 Russia exported 3 million 161,6 thousand tons of ferrous metals worth $1 billion 424,1 million.

According to the Federal customs service, export in the overseas countries made 2 million 909,2 thousand tons worth $1 billion 288 million. Export to the CIS countries made 252,4 thousand tons worth $136,1 million.

Without taking into account pig-iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap metal, Russia exported 2 million 235,1 thousand tons of ferrous metals worth $1 billion 117,1 million in January 2007.  Export to the overseas countries made 2 million 57,3 thousand tons worth $1 billion 2,1 million, while export to the CIS made 177,8 thousand tons worth $115 million.

In 2006 Russia exported 45 million 960,7 thousand tons of ferrous metals worth $17 billion 847,5 million.
