The roadmap on blockchain development in Russia will appear by June, said Sergey Nakvasin, one of the leaders of Independent Noncommercial Organization 'Digital Economy'.

It is announced that development institutions will finance blockchain projects. The total amount of financial support may reach almost $234 thousand for every project. Now the discussion is under way on selection of research centers that will create frameworks for blockchain projects.

'It is planned that by 2020 research centers will create at least 18 technological programs and two prototypes for frameworks. It is important that research centers are going to work across all sectors within digital technology development', said Sergey Nakvasin.

The roadmap definition phase began on the 1st of March. Russian leading companies such as MegaFon, Mail.Ru Group, Rambler Group, MTS, Russian Post, Yandex, 1C, Sberbank and others are going to vie for the opportunity to develop those roadmaps.

Sergey Nakvasin also noted that there could be developed roadmaps on other digital technologies. The national program 'Digital Economy' includes nine types of digital technology. They are: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, neurotechnology, blockchain, Quantum technology, new production technologies, industrial Internet, elements of robotics, wireless technologies, VR and AR. These technologies are considered to be the most promising. They are believed to change existing markets and create new ones.

Meanwhile, Russian government has postponed the second reading of draft laws on cryptocurrency by one month. The lower house of parliament voted to move the reading to April.
