OREANDA-NEWS. Although famous Russian doctor Alexander Myasnikov admits that he is already tired of convincing opponents of vaccination against coronavirus to get vaccinated, he continues to give explanations on this topic, including in social networks.

In his next post on Instagram on this topic, he, in particular, talked about what, in his opinion, the effectiveness of the Russian "Sputnik", as well as about possible side effects from it and Western vaccines.

The doctor and host of the program "On the Most Important" on the TV channel "Russia 1" notes that after all, our most famous vaccine is Sputnik V. According to him, in international reviews, Russian vaccines are almost exclusively mentioned.

"The effectiveness is officially 93%. But this is in trials. The older a person, the more severe his illness, the lower the percentage of protection. I estimate it as a flu vaccine: 50-60%," writes Dr. Myasnikov.

At the same time, he notes that the Delta variants and especially Betta are less susceptible to the preventive action of vaccines. "Side effects: pain at the injection site and fever," the doctor notes.

He also reminds that it is impossible to get sick with coronavirus from vaccination, since it does not contain the virus, but after vaccination it is possible, since antibodies appear only three weeks after the second dose is administered. And before that, a person is defenseless against a covid.

As for the delayed side effects of the Russian Sputnik, they are still unknown. "Could they be? They can. But they are not yet known," writes Dr. Myasnikov.

At the same time, he reports what side effects are already known after the introduction of Western vaccines. “We know about Pfizer: very rarely myocarditis (pericarditis), AstraZeneca - thrombosis (164 cases per 34 million injections,” the doctor explains.

He also recalls that vaccination of those who have already been ill greatly enhances their protection against new mutations of the virus.
