A State of Emergency Was Introduced in the Krasnoyarsk Krai after the Oil Spill
OREANDA-NEWS. In the area of the oil spill on the Khatanga River located in the Taimyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky District in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Krai of Russia, a state of emergency has been introduced. The fuel spill occurred while pumping oil from the tanker Lenaneft-2060 to the warehouse.
This was reported on the district website. “In order to take urgent measures to liquidate an emergency spill, a local level of response to emergencies has been established, its zone is the territory of the spill,” the municipality explained in its statement.
The local authorities also reported that a group of employees of the Department for Civil Defense and Emergencies of the district administration, as well as representatives of the prosecutor’s office, went to the scene to establish the causes and eliminate the consequences.
