OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Pavel Filip has welcomed the dialogue between the government, parliament and civil society at the annual conference titled, Cooperation between Parliament and Civil Society, held in the plenary session hall of the parliament today.

The prime minister highlighted that such events represented the best way of cooperation between the civil society and public authorities for a constructive and well-reasoned dialogue with Moldovan citizens and foreign partners.  “If we manage to communicate openly and often, I am confident that we will be able to easier cope with the challenges faced – need of transparency in state’s institutions, need to reasonably spend the public money, necessity to enhance people’s trust in public authorities. This is the way our society can develop and, along with it, each citizen will be able to hope for a decent living,” Pavel Filip said.

The prime minister called on the public administration to more actively cooperate with the civil society, generating pluralism of ideas and solutions. “We must have a multitude of ideas, a multitude of solutions, so as to eventually provide the citizen a better quality of life than now,” the prime minister also said.

Pavel Filip assured the participants in the meeting of the government’s every support, stressing the role of the civil society in mobilizing the state’s structures. “You will have supporters of the civil society in me and my team, no matter the stance the civil society is going to have on the cabinet I lead,” the prime minister noted. Also, Pavel Filip welcomed any form of cooperation between the government and civil society, underlining that they were beneficial, as they eventually meant better policies and reforms for Moldova.
