OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2011. A high-level delegation led by Pinchas Avivi, Deputy Director General of Division for Central Europe and Eurasia of the Foreign Ministry of the State of Israel is on a visit to the Turkmen capital during these days.

The guests were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry. During the talks the MFA officials of the friendly country were briefed on the major aspects of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy. It was noted that the progressive and innovative nature of the open door policy and the strategy for wide international cooperation pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided the groundwork for developing Turkmen-Israeli cooperation.

The meeting participants called for intensifying partnership between the two countries in a number of fields of mutual interest, including the health sector, and enhancing collaboration between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

A meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture is scheduled during the visit of the Israeli delegation to Ashgabat. The guests will visit the Main National Museum and the Turkmen Carpet Museum.
