OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian opposition is collecting data on law enforcement officers involved in beatings, bullying and torture. This was reported by former presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

“We were given the names and surnames of those who torture and beat people. Therefore, we are preparing a separate list of officials and law enforcement officers who have participated and continue to participate in militia’s brutality,” the opposition leader wrote on her Telegram channel. “The sanctions list will include persons involved in torture, illegal arrests and abuse of detainees. To identify the perpetrators, we are actively working with human rights defenders and the project Black Book of Belarus,” Tsikhanouskaya added.

This list will be transferred to the authorities of Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, EU countries and the United States. “The list will be published and will be constantly expanded,” Tsikhanouskaya promised.
