OREANDA-NEWS. On Thursday evening, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was transferred from the intensive care unit to a regular ward, he is recovering.

This is said in a statement published by the Office of the head of government. “The prime minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery. He is in extremely good spirits,” the message reads.

Johnson was diagnosed with a coronavirus infection on March 26. He continued to lead the country, isolating himself at his residence. On April 5 he was taken to a London hospital for analysis, since he had had a fever for more than 10 days. On April 6, the politician was transferred to intensive care unit. In the past two days, Johnson’s representatives reported that he is getting better.
