OREANDA-NEWS. Millions of refugees will move to the border of Turkey and the European Union soon. This was stated by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on March 2, at a meeting of the ruling party at the Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University.

According to the politician, since the Turkish side opened its borders, the number of those who moved to Europe exceeded hundreds of thousands. “They call and say: close the borders. I said that it is too late. The West should share the burden of responsibility for refugees,” Erdogan said.

After the aggravation of the situation in Syrian governorate of Idlib, Turkey stated that it would no longer be able to restrain migrants and refugees, and opened its borders with the European Union. After that, flows of migrants rushed to Greece.
