OREANDA-NEWSThe assessment of the Belarusian parliamentary elections by international observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is not entirely objective and biased. This was announced on Tuesday by the head of the CIS observer mission in the parliamentary elections in Belarus, Sergey Lebedev.

"This isn't surprising. We expected that such an assessment will sound. In our opinion, this is not a completely objective assessment", he said. "Unfortunately, the bias of Western observers, tuned to a negative assessment of the elections, causes surprise and misunderstanding among us", said the head of the monitoring mission. According to him, Commonwealth observers saw flaws in the election process.

CIS observers noted that the elections were held in accordance with the Constitution and the Electoral Code of Belarus, the principles for holding a democratic expression of will, were held on a competitive basis openly and openly, were free and transparent.
