OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the reason for the current political events in the country is outside influence, but the Belarusian people will cope with this.

“The internal situation is not just complicated, its main reason is external. If there were no external pressure and influence, it would never have happened in Belarus. Although we have already experienced different things, but then the influence from the outside was minimal, while now they took the bit between their teeth. But we will manage with this. Belarusians are smart people, they will figure out this plan,” Lukashenko said at a meeting with Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Stanislav Zas.

The head of state noted that the Western partners of Belarus “having become too active, have gone too far” in relation to his country, but the authorities “are not particularly straining in this regard.” “It’s a quiet, calm country… I think we will definitely cope with this. There is no doubt about it,” the Belarusian leader concluded.
