OREANDA-NEWS. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization plans to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine and Georgia. This was declared by Secretary General of the alliance, Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in Brussels.

The partnership of the military bloc, Kiev and Tbilisi, touches upon the Black Sea region, Stoltenberg added. He specified that after a videoconference with the foreign ministers of the alliance’s member countries, which ended earlier on April 2, a package of measures was adopted to support these countries. According to Secretary General, the package that was agreed for Georgia and Ukraine is aimed at conducting exercises, providing access to more education and training programs of NATO, as well as exchanging radar data in order to better understand what is happening in the airspace in the region.
