OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which the parties discussed the situation in the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Vladimir Putin informed about the activities of the Russian peacekeepers. […] The priority of solving urgent humanitarian problems related to the return of refugees, the restoration of infrastructure, the preservation of religious and cultural sites was also emphasized,” the Kremlin’s website reported.

The politicians also exchanged views on the ongoing work on the creation of a center to control the ceasefire in the conflict zone and considered issues of bilateral relations.

Earlier, Putin held telephone talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during which they discussed steps to implement the ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh. They also considered issues of economic interaction and unblocking transport communication in the region.
