OREANDA-NEWS. The Central Election Commission of Belarus announced the final results of the presidential election.

A winner, Alexander Lukashenko received 80.1 % of votes, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya 10.1 %, Hanna Kanapatskaya 1.67 %, Andrey Dmitriyeu 1.2 %, Siarhey Cherachen 1.14 %. 4.59 % of citizens voted against all. More than 5.8 million people took part in the elections. Over 2.8 million did it during early voting.

Dmitriyeu, Kanapatskaya and Tsikhanouskaya filed complaints about the election results. All of them were rejected.

Presidential election in Belarus was held on August 9. After that, massive protests began in the country, and they have been continuing to the present day. At the rallies, the security forces used force against protesters. More than 6 thousand people were detained.
