OREANDA-NEWS. The criticism of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov against the newspaper Novaya Gazeta was emotional, but this can be explained by the current situation. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, a press secretary of the President of Russia.

On November 12, Novaya Gazeta published an article which reported that Chechnya’s regional hospitals were closed and that they did not test for coronavirus participants in the funeral in one of the villages. The newspaper also wrote that the head of the republic equated people infected with coronavirus to terrorists.

After that, Kadyrov accused the edition of “anti-Chechen bullying”. He denied the publication’s information and asked the Russian presidential administration to pay attention to the situation and expressed the opinion that special services should find out the sources of financing for Novaya Gazeta.
