OREANDA-NEWS. Olena Lukash, the former head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice, stated that nowadays in the country, the situation is shaken not so much because of dissatisfaction with the withdrawal of troops in the Donbass, but because of a desire to overthrow the President Volodymyr Zelensky.

On the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, she noted that protest actions against the withdrawal of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the militants near the towns of Zolotoye and Petrovskoye will continue because some political movements are interested in growing tension. According to Lukash, they want to deprive Zelensky of power.

“They are trying to overthrow Zelensky. And the reason is so attractive – a surrender. […] At the same time, the president has no security officials. As for Avakov (Arsen Avakov – the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. – Ed.), is he Zelensky’s supporter?” the ex-minister said.

However, Lukash noted that after the change of power in Ukraine, little has changed. According to her, the social situation has not improved, the economic situation has worsened, and the politics turned into a series of scandals, while freedom of speech is questionable. “But it became relatively easier anyway: people are not so intensively expelled from churches, people are not divided into “friends” and “strangers” as actively as earlier”, the politician added.

Ruslan Balbek, the deputy of Russian State Duma from Crimea commented on the statement of Lukash, calling it an “alarm bell.” According to Balbek, Ukrainian leader “is charged with everything: both the exchange of prisoners and the withdrawal of troops in the Donbass. Moreover, the ultra-right put it as a betrayal of Ukraine, although they cannot explain clearly what is the essence of Zelensky’s surrender to the countries of the Normandy Four.”
