OREANDA-NEWS. The recertification audit of conformance to requirements of ASME Code on the section III – production of nuclear plants was held at the enterprise Skoda JS (Czech Republic), being a part of Izhora Group (OMZ).

According to the public relations department of OMZ, the enterprise prepared the demonstration order, which final stage (welding, control methods and pressure tests) was carried out at attendance of ASME auditors.

The production documentation and general quality maintenance documentation were also checked during the audit. The ASME auditors expressed satisfaction with performance of the final stages of the demonstration order and the level of quality maintenance during production.

The certificate was extended till June 2010.

For the time being, the certificate on nuclear section of ASME Code is owned by approximately 90 companies, including just 15 European.

OMZ (Uralmash-Izhora Group) is one of the largest Russian heavy industry enterprises. It specializes in engineering, production, sales and maintenance of equipment and machines for the nuclear power industry, and also in the production of special steels.

OMZ divisions’ facilities are located in Russia (Uralmash and Izhorskiye Zavody) and the Czech Republic (Pilsen Steel and Skoda JS).
