OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2009. The Days of Venezuelan Culture will be held in Belarus in April.

The programme of the event includes the concerts of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra. It will be the first visit of this renowned Latin American symphonic orchestra to Belarus. The orchestra directed by maestro Angelo Pagliuca will give the only performance in Minsk timed to the 7th anniversary of the re-establishment of the legitimate power of President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chavez Frias. The concert will be held at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society on April 13.

The Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus led by Viktor Babarykin will also take part in the concert. The performance will feature works of the famous musicians of Latin America and world classics. The orchestra will then move to Grodno and Gomel where it will perform on April 15 and 17.

The tour of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra that will turn 80 next year has been organized by the Venezuelan Embassy in Minsk, the Education Ministry of Venezuela and the Culture Ministry of Belarus, the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society and Belorusneft.
